COLLABORATIONS

MEUON and partners join hands to realize our objectives of having a community driven by a shared purpose.

SERVING

We serve the communities we live in with humility because we want to make them better places for everyone

OUR STORY FROM A HUMBLE BEGINNING

MEUON was founded on the belief that sustainable development requires more than addressing individual needs. It requires empowering families, strengthening communities, protecting children, creating opportunities for women and young people, and conserving the natural environment on which many local livelihoods depend.

Our work recognizes the interconnected challenges of poverty, limited access to education, food insecurity, unemployment, environmental degradation and increasing climate-related pressures. These challenges affect not only individual children but also households, farmers, women, young people and entire communities.

Our Core Values

Compassion

We serve with empathy, kindness, and understanding, recognizing the challenges faced by vulnerable children, families, and communities. We believe every person deserves care, dignity, and hope.

Equity and Inclusion

We strive to ensure that vulnerable children, women, young people, and disadvantaged households have fair opportunities to access support and participate in community development without discrimination.

Stewardship and Sustainability

We are committed to using resources responsibly and promoting solutions that create lasting benefits for people, families, communities, and the natural environment.

Integrity

We are committed to honesty, ethical conduct, and responsible decision-making in all our programmes, partnerships, and organizational activities at all times with in and outside.

Community Participation

We believe lasting development happens when communities participate in identifying their needs, setting priorities, and implementing solutions that improve their own lives.

Accountability and Transparency

We seek to be answerable to the communities we serve, our partners, and our supporters through responsible resource management, accurate records, open communication and honest reporting.

EBENEZER NURSERY & PRIMARY SCHOOL

Education at the Heart of Community Transformation

Ebenezer Nursery and Primary School is an important part of MEUON’s education and child support work. The school provides an opportunity to support children’s learning while working towards better outcomes for families and the wider community. The school currently serves 280 learners, with 55 learners receiving sponsorship support. Through partnerships and community support, MEUON works to reduce educational barriers and improve opportunities for vulnerable children.

A School Garden Supporting Learner Nutrition :The school has developed a garden where learners harvest crops including matooke and onions. The harvest contributes to learner nutrition and demonstrates how practical, locally managed initiatives can support school wellbeing. The garden also provides an opportunity to promote environmental awareness and responsible use of available resources.

Our Commitment To Children: We are committed to promoting children’s dignity, safety, inclusion, and access to learning. We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to learn and develop in a supportive environment. At MEUON, children are not just beneficiaries of our work-they are the reason we exist, the purpose behind our service, and the hope that drives our mission forward.
